Between the two houses, we can successfully house 16 men, due to the fact we do not have a sprinkler system installed in our Freedom House off of Tusculum. If we had a sprinkler system installed in Freedom Hill we would be able to successfully have the opportunity and privilege to disciple a minimum of 30 men. Mountain People Recovery truly is a great service to Greene County, providing a safe spot for men to land, heal, follow Jesus, and be the change agent Greene County and the surrounding areas need.

Our current need is a sprinkler system costs that $41,000 and with help from generous donors, we would be able to accomplish our mission to disciple men to Jesus, to freedom, to life and life abundantly. Irish House - 208 S Irish St
Having two houses given to Mountain People Recovery was something that no one anticipated happening, so we know the houses we have are miracles from God. Our 208 S Irish - Irish House was given to Iris Greeneville in hopes to raise up missionaries, yet ended up as a house for men in recovery to seek the Lord as well as develop and walk out God's plans for their life with accountability in discipleship.
Our 1340 Tusculum Blvd Freedom Hill was presented to Abel and Trevor in 2023 with hopes that they would take on running a men's home, but they did not want to take on running a men's home, except for the men's transition home that was already taking place on 208 S Irish St. After not accepting the offer to run a men's home, the house was given away. While starting the men's transition home at Irish St, they found that men were not ready to be transitioned; fast forward a couple of months later the house was then given back to Abel and Trevor for the home to be used as a men's home.
